The Wallpaper Calculator

Your walls are ready for a transformation, and we’re here to make it seamless. This guide walks you step by step through measuring, selecting, and calculating the perfect amount of wallpaper for your space. Whether you’re covering a single statement wall or an entire room, we’ll help you plan accurately so your design comes together beautifully—without stress, guesswork, or last-minute trips back to the store. From choosing the right material to accounting for pattern repeats, every detail is covered to ensure your wallpaper installation is as effortless and stylish as your home.
Step 1
Grab That Tape Measure
Before anything else, measure your walls. Height × width = total wall area in inches. Do this for every wall you’re planning to wallpaper, then add them together.
Pro tip: Add a little extra (about 10–15%)—trust us, mistakes and pattern matching happen. You don’t want to run out mid-roll!

Step 2
Pick Your Perfect Paper
Every Harbor & Holm design is brought to life through Spoonflower’s printing. From different materials to multiple roll sizes, they make it easy—and we’ve got all the details to help you pick the perfect fit. Not sure which wallpaper material is best for your project? Check out this guide for help!

Step 3
Count Your Rolls
1. Pick the roll length taller than your wall height (don’t forget a bit extra for overlap!).
2. Divide your total wall width by 24″ (the panel width). Round up to get the number of strips.
3. Multiply strips by wall height segments if needed.
4. Extra roll = safety net. You’ll thank yourself later.

Step 4
Pattern Repeat (aka The Fun Extra)
Some designs like a little alignment love. If your wallpaper has a vertical pattern repeat, plan for extra inches so it matches perfectly across seams.

Step 5
Place Your Order
Choose your style, pick your roll length, and go wild! All Harbor & Holm designs are printed and shipped through Spoonflower.com, so returns and exchanges follow their policies. Easy peasy.
